How can we ever disentangle ourselves from our historical situadedness and conditioning? We cannot. But our salvation in Christ isn’t contingent on that. The wisdom of God, by the liberating Spirit, always already, afresh anew, constantly breaks into our bodies of death, and brings Christ’s re-created humanity for us into the mortal members of our bodies; with the result being, that even in our blighted, fallen situations, we can still be emissaries for the risen Christ, the triune God. Even as Christ is so also are we in this world.
