It isn’t possible to make everyone happy with you all the time, and maybe none of the time. But this is because we each one are in step with the Spirit. Consequently we are living out the singular story, as a thread, that the Lord has ordained for us within His ultimate story for us, for the body of Christ, wherein each one of us is an individual member therein. This reality should never be used as a license to sin, or indulge our flesh, as if that is part of God’s personal story for us. Instead, it should be the occasion to walk in the resurrection power of Jesus Christ, imbued upon and within us by the Holy Spirit, afresh anew, each and every moment of each and every day. As Christians we are emissaries of Christ, and as such, we bear witness to Him. The One who is our life, in whom we are hidden in union with Him; partakers and participants in the triune divine nature; inhabitants of the eternal fellowship and felicity of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit by the grace of God who is the Christ of God for us.

As we are Christians sensitive to the voice of God, people might at times wonder about what we’re doing. They might question our intentions, and challenge our movements; and some of this is good, and part of the truly fellowshipping Christian life—we aren’t “lone rangers.” But as individual members we must also be cognizant of the particular call God has on our particular lives, and live into and from that as the sustenance of our existences as Christian people. Live boldy before the throne of God.
