I have been absent for a bit because I have been dealing with a serious and troubling reality: my dad is apparently dying. He is being placed into hospice, and in fact is receiving hospice treatment in the hospital. I visited him recently and did not recognize him when first saw him. He is normally 200lbs, he is down to 145lbs. He is confused, has no real memory, and is really scared. It is ripping my heart to pieces, and I can hardly bare it; save the grace of Jesus Christ. Please pray for my dad, his name is Ron Grow. He loves Jesus. His is a retired Conservative Baptist Pastor. He is a former Hospital Chaplain. He is a former church planter. He is an evangelist of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He has also had many struggles and trials, and those have come to plague him in deep ways. His ongoing care (insurance) is under review, and there seems to be some problems with it. Please pray that all works out by Godβs guiding hand; a hand that transcends all the other hands involved in this process. Please pray for my dad. Pray the Lord would show him mercy; whatever that might mean: i.e. to be home in the presence of the Lord, or that the Lord would miraculously heal him. Please pray. Thatβs all I can do at this point, other than call him. But he is barely coherent enough to know whatβs going on when I call him. Iβm praying a lot; it is my only comfort.
And then on top of this my father in-law, Pat, just had a heart-attack. He is recovering and will be okay. Please pray for him and the family as well.
Thank you.
Have been praying, Bobby, for you and yours, led to do so by your recent leave. Thank you for allowing us to share your burden. Grace and peace to you in the freedom given and mercy shown to and for us in Christ Jesus, Lord and Savior.
Thanks for letting us know, Bobbly. We’ll be praying for both Ron and Pat. What a great spiritual heritage!
Definitely praying with you for your father and father-in-law, Gary

Hello Bobby,
Yes, I will pray that the Lord’s kindness will manifest itself in a way that will resolve the matter soon. I will also pray for you and your family because I know how hard all this can be when you are far away. Is he still in the SoCal area? May peace and patience be yours in abundance.
Medicare Part A should cover the hospice care. I hope this also gets resolved soon. Take care.
Bobby, praying for you father and your father in law and your family.
Lord, have mercy
Christ, have mercy
Bobby: I’m praying for your Dad.

Hi Bobby! I’m praying for you, your dad and your father-in-law, indeed for all your family. God give you all strength!

@Gary,

@Steve,
Thank you brother! Yes, he is in Southern CA which makes this exceedingly difficult. And yes Medicare will cover his hospice, but we are waiting on Medical to go through which will allow him to go to a nursing home where the hospice care will commence. Altho his care in the hospital, which medicare will cover for up to 100 days is probably better than what he’ll get in a nursing home and through hospice. There is conflicting info in regard to his eligibility for Medical. I have it on good word from two of the social workers I have spoken with that he’ll be eligible no problem. But then I just got a call from another who said his disability/social security pay might be too much (which is laughable if it is). Anyway, I am letting them deal with that and staying removed; that is my dad’s best bet because they cannot discharge him from the hospital until they have somewhere to discharge him to.
@Duane,
Thank you brother!
@Joe,

@Steelewires,
