This is a great aphorism, and it holds true for me. I am prompted to write this quick little post to provide a rationale for why I continue to blog; my rationale proves to be quite selfish on some fronts. As Calvin and Augustine thought the case to be, writing fosters learning and learning writing. This is probably one of the biggest reasons that stokes my b-log fire, I am learner; and in order for me to learn and retain, putting my thoughts to cyber-paper with cyber-ink cultivates this process. In this process my hope is that it might benefit others; through provocation and spurring you and myself on as we see the Day approaching. There are some in the blogosphere who seem to think it their duty to tell people what they can and can’t write about on their blogs—I’ve had more than one interlocutor on the blog like that. It’s as if these folk have a spite for blogging, and/or for folk who have beliefs and who then act upon those beliefs by giving them voice. This is my blog and I’ll write whatever the fruit loop I want to.! If you don’t like what I write, then attack the material of my writing; but leave your opinions about me, and my motivations for blogging at the url (door). Thanks, and peace.

I have not commented before. I only recently discovered or blog but I am always challenged by your thought-provoking posts. I have also ordered two volumes of Torrance because of your posts. I see in him (from your descriptions) and in you much of what I believe and the way I think. Iβm looking forward to the rest of your posts on Van Til and Barth as I am convinced that Van Til failed to understand Barth completely (and I know he misunderstood Kierkegaard). Keep on writing knowing that there are many here who are edified by your work.
