Another Blog, Zerwick, My Biblical Studies and Greek New Testament Notepad

I am starting another blog, this is still my primary one. This other blog may or may not be all that active, given time constraints; but I thought it would be good to have a place on line that would help hold me accountable with my New Testament Greek reading and Biblical Studies stuff. Yes, my degrees, in the past, largely entailed my acquisition of NT Greek (and some Biblical Hebrew); and so I won’t lose that I thought I would try and post translation stuff that I do from the NT, and then just reflections and thoughts on the Bible at this other blog. It basically will serve as a note-pad for me, and my continued studies in this area. I am also hopeful that it will better serve non-specialist folk in the church who are desirous to grow deeper in their capacity to study the Bible. I will be sharing, at this other blog, general methods and principles for Bible study. There seems to be a dearth of this in the American Evangelical church in general (i.e. training folks how to study and read their Bible’s for all their worth), and so maybe this new blog of mine will help fill a gap in this regard (although I doubt many folks will read it, but you never know). Anyway, I will continue to consider this blog my primary one; and in fact given my work hours nowadays, my blogging, even here, is going to be more sporadic that it used to. You’ll know when I’m on my day offs (like today), because my blog posts will increase (the same principle will hold true for this new blog of mine).

Anyway, you can find my newest blog by click here: Zerwick

I don’t, as of yet, have anything posted over there yet; but I plan, later today, to probably put a post up on Colwell’s rule and how that affects our reading of John 1.1. I currently work with a Jehovah’s Witness, and I always like to sharpen myself up a bit when I know that an occasion might arise for me to speak truth into this guy’s life. John 1.1 is somewhat of the jugular for JW’s. Of course the theology of the Gospel of John itself militates against the Jehovah’s Witnesses’ rendering in their New World Translation of John 1.1, but I like to have all of my grammar notes on high alert as well.
