Harold Camping, of Family Radio, (and amiller, by the way) has predicted that tomorrow, May 21st, 2011, that Jesus is coming again for the faithful (those who follow the teaching of Harold Camping). Below I ponder a bit upon Camping’s prediction, and how that relates to the actual time of Jesus’ actual return. What if Jesus did come back on May 21st, 2011? That’s the question I reflect upon in lieu of Camping’s prediction.

Thank you for sharing that short video Bobby! It is true that no man can know for certain when the Son will come again…How do we respond in the love of God to people such as Harold Camping and their predictions? I certainly don’t want to “stone” them, but I also don’t want to embrace and affirm what they are doing to people…What are some of your thoughts on this issue? π

I think he’s a “false-prophet,” and is nutty to be honest. I think we simply need to pray for him.

Have you ever thought that GOD might have allowed this man to make his prediction, just to see how much of a mockery the people would make of it, even though GOD Himself knew that the man was using his own Intellect to try to come up with a date?? How many people do you think might have did the same thing, back in Noahs day, with the same results? I’m sure that for the seven days the Ark still sat there, after GOD called Noah & his family in & shut the door, their mockery & laughter, was getting louder & louder & their parties were getting bigger. What do you think went through their hearts & minds, when they felt that first drop of rain fall on them. Can you even imagine the horrible fear they felt, knowing that their only way of escape was sealed up? Is this once great nation & its people so numb & without feeling, that every thing to them, is a joke? One day soon though, this people will wake up, but it will be too late. My heart goes out to those that are going to be shut out of our only ARK of safety in this day, the LORD JESUS CHRIST. 99% of our professing Christians, can’t even see the signs of the times & take it back to the Scripture to see where they are at, in this day. Only GOD knows when the end will come. The Scripture says that “No man knows the day or the hour”, but by the signs that are all around us, we should at least know the season. This nation has put GOD out of everything & put every filthy thing they can think of, in HIS stead. Can the people, especially the professing Christians, see what happened to Sodom & Gomorra, after Lot opened the gate for all the homosexuals & every other perversion, into Sodom, & what happened to Babylon, when they thought that they were way too big to be defeated, because of their gigantic walls & army. As a nation, we have done the same thing. We have allowed the same thing into this country that Lot did in Sodom, we have lifted ourselves up to the place that Beltshazar did in Babylon. But we also have done the same thing in the Spiritual that Babylon did in the natural. Back there the enemy diverted the natural river & came in under the gate, but in this day, in this country, we have allowed the enemy to come in & divert the RIVER of LIFE, & come in under the gate. Our once great Christian Nation, is no longer a Christian Nation, but a nation that still has a few real Christians in it, that are sighing & crying, for the abominations being done in it. But the way things are going, if the A.C.L.U. & our government has it’s way, that will be a thing of the past also. We have blind leaders, leading a blinded people, & the Scripture tells us, that both, will fall into the ditch. I guarantee you though, that one day, & maybe sooner than people might think, there will be a Rapture & a Real People of the Living GOD, will be gone. And when the proverbial rain drops start falling, it will be too late to go back to try to make amends. When the Judgements that come upon the people & this world begin to fall in full force it will be too late. Just stop, think, go into the Scripture,open your heart up to the LIVING GOD & ask HIM to give you simple understanding of this day, now, while there is still a chance. Don’t make a mockery or try to make your own predictions, just say LORD, I don’t understand IT all, but I believe YOUR WORD. GOD Bless

I don’t know if you watched my vid in full, but my point was a little different than the one you’re addressing. My point was just to highlight that only God really “knows” when His return is. The reality is, is that many people make predictions (w/o the fan fare that Camping received); but the reality is, is that even if someone made a “prediction” and Jesus actually returned on that day, they didn’t really know . . . they made a guess. Categorically speaking only God can “know,” even if a man/woman says they “know;” they don’t nor can know the day or hour.

Hey, thanks. Yeah, watch . . . I’m afraid many Christians aren’t really watching nowadays. I’m also afraid that some Christian will over-react to Camping’s nonsense, and for fear of association, not be as bold for Christ in witness like they may have been before. Either way, this was an unfortunate thing. Yet, nothing new, there’s been false-prophets from at least the time of the “Garden.”
