I am kind’ve bored, I need a break from some reading I’ve been doing; so what better an opportunity for wasting some time on a post π . I thought I would just update folks on what I am currently reading, and also preview two books that I will be providing reviews for in the near future at the blog here.
I am currently reading:
1) The Evangelical Universalist by Gregory MacDonald (Robin Parry)
2) Revelation And Reason: Prolegomena to Systematic Theology by Colin E. Gunton edited by P.H. Brazier
3) Augustine His Legacy and Relevance edited by Wayne Cristaudo and Heung-Wah Wong
And I will be reviewing two review copies of:
1) Scottish Theology: From John Knox to John McLeod Campbell by Thomas F. Torrance (which I’ve already read 3 times, so I’d say the review is long over due)
2) Calvin, Participation, and the Gift by J. Todd Billings (I have about 2/3rds of this book to finish yet)
I received “Scottish Theology” from T&T Clark as a review copy. And then “Calvin, Participation” from Oxford University Press as a review copy. Many thanks to both publishers!

I have too the Augustine book, and also Billings Calvin, etc. I liked Billings book very much, but have yet to only spot read Augustine His Legacy, etc.
Billings book is good. The Augustine seems to be okay. I’ve read the first chapter/essay by Peter Leithart, that was insightful (talking about signs reality and the impact it has on civil formation etc.).
