Praise The LORD!!! I'm still cancer free . . .

We just got back from my CT scan, it took longer than we had hoped; my kidney (since I only have one now per my surgery last year, which included the removal of my rt kidney) needs to be extra hydrated for them to push the contrast through for my scan. So that prolonged the angst and agony of waiting another hour. But praise the LORD, truly, because I am still cancer free. The doctor is counting my “cancer freeness” from my surgery date, and not my last post-surgery chemo date; which means that I’ve been cancer free for a year now (my surgery was last year May 6th, 2010)! It’s hard to describe the relief that you feel when you hear that the results are all good! There are many who are still going through this hellish disease right now, I am going to post a list of names of folks for whom I pray daily; they are all continuing to endure this heinous disease (be on the look out for that list). Thanks again to every one of you for praying, that means so much to us; God is faithful and ever present in times of great stress and need. Amen!

  11. Thank you, Heather! Praise His beautiful Name! In some ways it’s almost weird, I don’t feel guilty, per se, but it does sober me to think that there are plenty of people (brothers and sisters in Christ, people who I’ve come to know on-line, with the same cancer I had, but for whom their out-come, at the moment, is not the same) out there who continue to struggle and get beat down by the tribulations of this life. That is a lesson I hope that I never forget, and a sensitivity that can only be attributed to the Lord!
