I Need a Job!

As some of you know, I’m unemployed; I was laid off from my previous employer back in August 2010, and have been looking for new employment ever since. Actually I haven’t really worked now for approximately a year and a half. As many of you know I battled through a horrific cancer last year, which of course did not allow me to work; once I was officially declared cancer free (in August 2010), my employer did a massive lay off, and I was one of those laid off (due to the bad economy). So this post is just intended to alert folks to my need in this regard, and hopefully connect me with someone that will result in employment. The type of work I am looking for would ideally be in the realm of the theological. That could take various forms, vocationally; such as: pastoral ministry (my experience is in Evangelism, discipleship, Christian education), theological publication/editing, theological education (either high school or college). These are the areas that I am looking for employment in; if you know of a position or situation that would fit me, please let me know! I would really like to be in a vocation that correlates with my background and training; of course at the moment, I also have my name out for various other kinds of positions; in various industry (we’ve got to eat πŸ˜‰ ). If you know of something and would like to contact me, my email is: icor22@hotmail.com.

I would really appreciate it if you could help me (and my family) out with this! God bless!

PS. I have my CV or Resume readyΒ to go upon request.

  1. We’ve certainly been there/done that, Bobby. It’s not been easy, but it’s been completely amazing what the Lord has done in our lives and I don’t think it could have been done without Hal losing his job almost 5 years ago. Praying for you all!

    BTW, Hal has his cancer check-up Friday…

  2. @Kc,

    Thank you, brother! πŸ™‚

    @Melanie,

    Great to hear from you! The Lord’s ways are definitely not our ways πŸ˜‰ . . . thank you for the encouragement! We just praise the Lord for Hal’s health (I prayed for Hal frequently as he and you and fam went through that). We will be praying for the check up this Friday (Good Friday, what timing πŸ™‚ !). I have my next cancer check up April 26th (so next Tuesday, I would appreciate the prayers too . . . I always get anxious right around this time). Thank you, Melanie; and let Hal know we’re praying!
