Addendum2:

I have been blogging now for approx. 6 years (I’ve had so many different URLs and blog titles over that time, that I don’t even try to count anymore 😉 ). Often, over that span of time I have tried to have times of “hiatus” from blogging . . . I’ve made announcements like the one I’ve made here, and then within a week I have another post up 🙂 . The reality is, is that I am a pure “theo-blogger;” I can’t escape it, it’s somewhat of a disease. My joy in life is to talk and think Theology, since I don’t have a lot of people around me who have this similar joy (my wife does, but only to an extent . . . I love her 🙂 ); this makes “theo-blogging” the perfect out-let! I’m really not sure that I am going to be able to go a whole month without posting, and I’m also not sure that I am going to be able to make this blog simply a “Book Review” blog. I have way too many things running through my head and heart, and no one to really share them with. If I don’t let them out, then often they aren’t given any concrete form; and thus they became un-articulated thoughts that potentially can become lost without any kind of critical or even un-critical reflection. All this to say, don’t be surprised if you find a new post up here within a week 🙂 . I am really sorry to play games like this with you, but that’s what makes the ‘EC’ blog so exciting (right?); it’s like a roller-coaster ride, or a good story with escalation in the plot line, apparent plateaus in the story-line, only to realize that the plateau is actually another escalation in the story. That’s how the story line of my blog works, eh 😉 . Anyway, if you’re crazy enough to keep reading me; then beware, there might be a post coming sooner than later . . . I’m almost embarassed, but not really . . . 😉

Addendum:

I am definitely taking the month of December off from blogging. At the New Year my plan is to start again, but in a muted and modified form. Essentially what this blog will become is a place for me to do Book Reviews. In fact, I have a book Scottish Theology that I received as a Review Copy from T & T Clark that I still need to write a review for here at the blog. I think this will be a good delimiting way for me to move forward with blogging in the future. I have benefited immensely in numerous ways from the blogging venue over the years, but as you all know family and other commitments take precedence; blogging can ravel out of control too quickly (at least for me). Anyway, thanks for being understanding readers; Merry Christmas to you all, and I’ll see you with Book Reviews in the near future . . . God Bless! (PS. You can always still email me)

I am going to hiatus from blogging for at least the month of December, if not longer. I have way too much going on in life, and blogging just cannot fit into that picture right now. I really appreciate all of the feedback and iron sharpening iron from all of you (even when we disagree). I’ll reconsider where I’m at at the end of December, if I’m in a spot where I feel like I can blog responsibly (relative to balancing the rest of life); then I might start back up at the New Year. In short, I have other priorities that are being neglected because of the time I spend on blogging (family time being the main priority!).

Anyway, thanks. Also, if you could remember December 27th for me; that’s the day I have my next CT scan to make sure that I’m still cancer-free . . . please pray for me, that the cancer is still gone and always will be. I’ll find out those results on the 28th. Thank you, guys and gals. I’ll let you all know on the 28th what the results are.

Also, thank you for your prayers for my Ultrasound today. It went well, my graft is working well; and I am now able to come off of the blood thinners (and they didn’t see anything, incidentally) . . . so thanks brothers and sisters.
